A Leap of Faith

For many, stepping out into the unknown is like walking on an unsteady bridge to reach to the other side, you just never know if you’re going to slip and fall. But what if you didn’t fall? What if that one choice you’ve been struggling to make opened the door to a world of opportunities?

I’m Kennishia. I’ve recently decided to take my own leap of faith and follow my heart into the world of entrepreneurship, specifically the wedding and events industry.

After some serious soul searching I’ve found that my God-given purpose is using my skills to serve others and share my story to positively impact the lives of those around me.

I discovered the need for change in my life and after listening to motivational messages by Terri Savelle Foy about using the talents you got now, I realized that my power for change was already within me. I was worried and anxious about the process yet I knew that despite the outcome I had to take the leap and let my faith be bigger than my fears.

I LOVE planning events. Again, I LOVE PLANNING EVENTS! There’s just something about taking a vision and crafting it into existence that keeps me grinning! I’m able to use my passion to be of service to others and as an entrepreneur, I am privileged to work in a way that best demonstrates my core values – faith, love, and family. It’s a win-win situation.

Taking that leap of faith doesn’t have to be starting a business, it can be as simple as making a change in your daily routine or just letting go of a toxic situation and trusting God for the outcome. Whatever your leap looks like – go for it. You got this!
