Thanksgiving is literally just about here for our Canadian friends! A time to reflect on all the things you are grateful for and of course, if you're anything like me, a time to decorate!
I've never been a huge fan of the traditional bold Thanksgiving colours, not to mention that red and orange just doesn't fit well with my neutral green space. I wanted my tablescape to speak FALL with some of my favorites neutral's and accents yet all on a budget. Let's face it, as a mom of three, budget-friendly options are super important!
Now, where to begin!! My centerpiece is a craft pumpkin I purchased from my local Michaels Craft store for 50% off the original price. They had an awesome 2-hour class to create a DIY floral pumpkin, and it was nothing but fun! I took it home and added my final touches to it and voila! I added two candlesticks to our table which I purchased online from H&M Home for just $14.99 each.
The gold chargers and gold edged wine glasses were purchased from Things Remembered. Their sale was buy one, get one for 75% off and there was just no way I could pass on that! Our dinner plates, cream napkins, and marble napkin rings I found at Pier One all on sale and for clearance in store! (I'm so doing a happy dance right now!)
For those who know me, know I love all things gold and when I found out IKEA added gold cutlery to their inventory I was like a kid in a candy store, EXCITED! I also purchased the glass domes from IKEA and decided to put a silk flower inside the dome which I purchased from Homesense for $5.99.
And finally, the cute golden baby boo pumpkins I found in the President's Choice Home section at my local Fortinos store and get this they were on sale for $4.87 each! Can we say budget SAVY!
As a wedding and event planner, I'm around gorgeous settings all the time and a huge part of my job is to be resourceful. Finding ways to help my clients save while not compromising on quality and of course I apply this to my own life at home. My Thanksgiving table turned out pretty gorgeous and I'm glad it didn't break the bank. Happy decorating and Happy Thanksgiving Loves!!
