Planning a wedding can be quite costly. Many couples I meet are concerned about how to stay within their budget and still be able to see their vision come to fruition for their wedding day.
The key thing is to prioritize the items that you and your fiance deem as THE most important for your special day. Narrowing down what you absolutely need and the things that you can do without will help you know which areas of the wedding to invest the majority of your money.
For most couples, the reception venue and food take the lead. Some find the wedding cake to be less of a necessity and prefer cupcakes or other sweets for their guests. Every couple is different. What is essential to one couple may not even make the list for another couple. Whatever you do ensure that you invest your money where it matters most to you and your guests.
I sat down with four couples to get their take on planning their weddings. They shared how they managed to stay within their budget, some of their top necessities for their wedding day and what they could have done without.
