Setting the atmosphere for Valentine’s Day is one of the key elements to really impress your Valentine! From the music to the lighting, the meal, and even the table setting because let’s face it, preparing a delicious meal and eating on the same every-day bare table just isn’t all that romantic. Valentine’s Day doesn’t need to be over-celebrated by any means, but you should definitely use this day to go the extra mile for your loved one.
If sitting elbow-to-elbow at a congested restaurant this Valentine’s Day just isn’t your thing, here’s some inspiration for setting up a romantic and elegant table setting for Bae!
If your table is not the cutest thing than cover it up! There’s really no excuse, there are linen rental companies everywhere! If you don’t have a nice tablecloth or just not ready to spend $50+ on a brand new one then go ahead and rent it for half the cost. Renting tableware is an option but can add up if you’re in need of every item. Most people have their go-to glassware and plates that they use when company comes over. If that’s what you have then use it! Just adding simple touches like a luscious rose to your napkin setting can make such a difference to your table.
Most importantly, you NEED flowers! A great mixture of roses and greens. Different shades of red and burgundy with sweet touches of pink speak Valentine’s Day all the way! You can stop by your local floral shop and ask for a nice bouquet to create a centerpiece, or go with a big floral arrangement in a gorgeous footed bowl to really take up space!!!
Lastly, don’t forget about the ambience! Valentine’s Day with your spouse is about romance and celebrating your LOVE! Lighting candles are the best way to set the atmosphere. Whether you have small votive candles, long taper candles or you choose to purchase hurricane candles from your local dollar store or craft store, really any candles will do! Oh, and if you’re up for it, add some rose petals to freely decorate the table or sprinkle a bit on the floor.
Have fun Loves, and make this Valentine’s Day one to remember! Xoxo
